I was also intimidated by the size (600 pages!) and the fact that it was a verse novel. I hadn’t read one before because the subject matter of her books I’d heard of sounded way too heavy, so I was a bit anxious about reading this one. This was a book club pick, and my first Ellen Hopkins book.
